Tuia Stage

The Tuia Stage is a 12 hour outdoor cultural showcase of Coromandel performing artists:  poets, storytellers, musicians, dancers and kapa haka groups. The central performance will be the premiere performance of a special Tuia 250 composition by Dr Te Ahukamaru Charles Royal (indigenous composer, teacher and cultural leader) performed by Mercury Bay Choir, joined by Mercury Bay Area School students and accompanied by James Webster and his taonga puoro (traditional Maori instruments) musician friends.
